Equidiva Premium Mask 90% UV protection without ear covers

This unique ophthalmic cap is the perfect complement to ophthalmic protection/goggles for horses. It provides excellent insulation and is therefore recommended for mid-seasons or winter. For summer, opt for the Hélios mask, which is lighter and more breathable, yet just as effective. Completely flexible, the Premium mask can be worn permanently and safely by any horse requiring special eye protection (uveitis, ulcers, cataracts, etc.), both in the field and in the stall. It also provides effective protection against wind, dust, hay stalks, rain, etc. It can be used for outdoor work or flatwork.

Given its opacity, we do not recommend using it for show jumping; for these disciplines, opt for Evysor glasses or equigoogs.

Designed in two parts combining two technical materials, it will ensure maximum comfort and protection for your horse:
- Cap section: water-repellent stretch fabric. Closes with a wide Velcro strip and one adjustable strap under the throat.
- Eye section: durable, micro-perforated coated fabric providing optimal protection from UV rays, wind, dust, hay, etc.

- 1 removable inner foam pad keeps the fabric away from the horse's eyes.

- Semi-rigid headgear provides excellent support for the mask and ensures that the fabric remains away from the eyes.

The foam stick should be inserted into the fabric pocket provided for this purpose inside the mask. This keeps the fabric away from the eyes (in addition to the headband).

Wash with cold soapy water and a brush or in a washing machine on a cold cycle, short program, low spin, ideally protected in a laundry net.

To find the right size, refer to the size chart above. In case of error, we process returns and reshipments as quickly as possible, upon simple return of the product in perfect condition, within 14 days.

This mask is recommended or prescribed by equine veterinarians to accompany treatment for uveitis, cataracts, ulcers, or any other eye condition and/or fragility.

Materials purchased in France, mask made in Tunisia.

Sizes: XS (Shetland) – S (Pony) – M (Cob) – L (Full) – XL (XFull)

Please note: If you have taken out insurance covering your horse's veterinary expenses, the purchase of eye protection required in the event of an accident or the treatment of an ophthalmic condition may be covered in whole or in part by your insurance company. If this is the case, and subject to its terms and conditions and the policy taken out, it will require the products to be prescribed by your veterinarian on the prescription they give you.

Horses are not designed to wear masks! Make sure at least once a day that the mask has not moved and that your horse is comfortable wearing it. We take the utmost care in manufacturing our products and selecting materials, but every horse is different and it is your responsibility to check that the equipment you have chosen (model + size) provides the necessary protection for your horse's eyes.

    for dry weather

The product is good, providing good protection for the horse, but should not be used in the rain. The mask absorbs water and becomes very heavy for the horse, causing it to lose its shape. So it's more of a mask for indoor use. The two foam pads are not very easy to position correctly, as the lower one tends to turn outward.

Awesome mask, suitable for draft horses

I'm delighted!!! Two years of hardship with my XXL mare and her recurring uveitis. Impossible to find a mask that fits her in Europe. And the XL mask fits a draft horse perfectly!!!! It's sturdy and effective, I highly recommend it! We're finally out of the woods!

Equidiva premium mask without ear covers

Very high-quality product with a neat finish. My mare, who suffers from uveitis, is well protected from wind and dust. Since she has been wearing Equidiva masks, she no longer has swelling in her eye, no longer rubs it, and her eyes are much less watery. I supplement wearing the mask 24/7 with treatments of blueberry powder and leaves. Delivery is fast and hassle-free.

What size should I choose for my Equidiva mask/hat?

All measurements are approximate and are provided for informational purposes only.

Size guide - Premium or Helios mask

Using a tape measure (or a piece of string that you will measure afterwards), measure around your horse's head as shown in the photo:

    Mask size Head circumference
    XS - Shetland 84 cm
    S - Pony 90 cm
    M - Cob 94 cm
    L - Full 100 cm
    XL - XFull 110 cm
If your horse's head measurement falls between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger of the two.

Size guide - Equivizor masks (Lightweight, Arso, Convalescence models)

For these masks, the main measurement is the width of your horse's forehead. To do this, you need to add together three measurements:

    1. Start at the outer corner of one eye and measure upwards at a slight angle to the middle of the forehead (measurement A).
    2. continue along the front of your horse(measurement B),
    3. Finish the measurement by directing the line slightly downward to the outer corner of the other eye (measurement C). This way, you will measure the widest part of your horse's forehead.

Add these 3 measurements (A+B+C) to obtain the size of your horse's forehead.

IMPORTANT: Do not measure directly from one eye to the other, as this will likely result in an inaccurate measurement.

    equivizor mask measurements

    Mask size Forehead size
    XS - Shetland 7.5–8.7 inches
    S - Pony 8.7–11.4 inches
    M - Cob 11.5–13.5 inches
    L - Full 13-14 inches
    XL - XFull 15-17 inches

    Size guide - Rambo mask

    Take these 3 steps:

    Size A B C
XS (large Shetland) 60 cm 84 cm 20 cm
    S (pony) 70 cm 96 cm 9.5 inches
    M (cob) 70 cm 96 cm 9.25 inches
    L (full) 75 cm 105 cm 27 cm

If your horse is between sizes, we recommend choosing the smaller size.

    Size guide - Equivet mask

Measure the distance between the center of the horse's two eyes:

Mask size Distance between the eyes
    S - Pony 18 cm
    M - Cob 21 cm
    L - Full 9.5 inches
    XL - XFull 26 cm

    Size guide - eVysor glasses

The eVysor mask is available in one size. It is suitable for cob or full-size horses. It can also sometimes fit large ponies (D ponies).
