Equidiva Premium Mask with Ear Covers

This unique ophthalmic cap is the perfect complement to ophthalmic protection/goggles for horses. It provides excellent insulation and is therefore recommended for mid-seasons or winter. For summer, opt for the Hélios mask, which is lighter and more breathable, yet just as effective. Completely flexible, the Premium mask can be worn permanently and safely by any horse requiring special eye protection (uveitis, ulcers, cataracts, etc.), both in the field and in the stall. It also provides effective protection against wind, dust, hay stalks, rain, etc. It can be used for outdoor work or flatwork.

Designed in two parts combining two technical materials, it will ensure maximum comfort and protection for your horse:
- Cap section: water-repellent stretch fabric. Closes with a wide Velcro strip and one adjustable strap under the throat.
- Eye section: durable, micro-perforated coated fabric providing optimal protection from UV rays, wind, dust, hay, etc.

- 1 removable inner foam pad keeps the fabric away from the horse's eyes.

- Semi-rigid headgear provides excellent support for the mask and ensures that the fabric remains away from the eyes.

Wash with cold soapy water and a brush or in a washing machine on a cold cycle, short program, low spin, ideally protected in a laundry net.

To find the right size, refer to the size chart above. In case of error, we process returns and reshipments as quickly as possible, upon simple return of the product in perfect condition, within 14 days.

This mask is recommended or prescribed by equine veterinarians to accompany treatment for uveitis, cataracts, ulcers, or any other eye condition and/or fragility.

Materials purchased in France, mask made in Tunisia.

eVysor glasses/mask - eQuick

These horse goggles are designed for working horses and are particularly recommended for protecting the eyes of horses suffering from uveitis, cataracts, corneal ulcers, or any other form of photosensitivity. 100% UV protection. Also effective against headshaking or outdoor riding with a horse that tends to look around.

Technical equipment to protect your horse's eyes at work. Because it reduces contrasts caused by brightness, especially outdoors, this protection also works very well on horses that are sensitive or react easily to areas of light and shade, both in the arena and outdoors. It also provides effective protection against wind, dust, and insects.

We do not recommend wearing this protection for horses at rest living in the pasture. However, it can be used when the horse is temporarily in the paddock, for a limited period of time and under supervision.

3 parts:

  • Glasses: unbreakable, perfectly ergonomic, respecting the horse's field of vision,
  • Frame fits the horse's head perfectly and ensures optimal ventilation. Eliminates fogging caused by perspiration when the horse is working.
  • Attachments: 2 adjustable elastic straps with buckles. It is very easy to install over the net.

These goggles are particularly recommended for ponies and horses affected by the following eye problems:

  • Photosensitivity
  • Fragility of the eyes following veterinary surgery

Please note:

  • In the event of an error, we will process returns and reshipments as quickly as possible, provided that the product is returned in perfect condition within 14 days.
  • If you have taken out insurance covering your horse's veterinary expenses, the purchase of eye protection required in the event of an accident or the treatment of an ophthalmic condition may be covered in whole or in part by your insurance company. If this is the case, and subject to its terms and conditions and the policy taken out, it will require the products to be prescribed by your veterinarian on the prescription they give you.
  • Horses are not designed to wear masks! Make sure at least once a day that the mask has not moved and that your horse is comfortable wearing it. We take the utmost care in manufacturing our products and selecting materials, but every horse is different and it is your responsibility to check that the equipment you have chosen (model + size) provides the necessary protection for your horse's eyes.

    Premium mask

The premium mask is truly high-end, with strong, soft fabric and UV-protective mesh that is gentle on the eyes. However, I would suggest three improvements: 1/ Explain that it should not be washed with foam (which comes off), otherwise it will not dry and will become too heavy for the horse to wear on its head. 2/ Specify that it needs to be tightened a lot the first few times (I also had to cut the ear covers in half to rebalance the weight so that my horse wouldn't roll it off). 3/ Small design issue: the safety buckle should be moved a few centimeters so that it is not on the horse's cheekbone, but a little further back between the cheeks, for example (simply lengthen the left strap by 4/5 cm). Conclusion: I'm a bit picky and demanding, but after trying a multitude of masks (I have a herd of 20 horses that are fully masked for 6 months of the year), I think that with the premium mask, we're getting close to the best there is for horses with eye problems! ;-) One last point: the delivery time is a little long...

    Very good products

I am absolutely delighted with the flexible mask, which is very well designed, does not hurt, is very light, and stays in place well. The goggles are also very practical and provide excellent coverage when the horse is riding in bright light.

equidiva Premium Pack with earmuffs + eVysor eQuick glasses

Although I only recently purchased this product, I am satisfied with it. The horse tolerates the glasses very well and has changed his behavior in bright sunlight, which is a sign of improved vision (he has very light blue eyes).

What size should I choose for my Equidiva mask/hat?

All measurements are approximate and are provided for informational purposes only.

Size guide - Premium or Helios mask

Using a tape measure (or a piece of string that you will measure afterwards), measure around your horse's head as shown in the photo:

    Mask size Head circumference
    XS - Shetland 84 cm
    S - Pony 90 cm
    M - Cob 94 cm
    L - Full 100 cm
    XL - XFull 110 cm
If your horse's head measurement falls between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger of the two.

Size guide - Equivizor masks (Lightweight, Arso, Convalescence models)

For these masks, the main measurement is the width of your horse's forehead. To do this, you need to add together three measurements:

    1. Start at the outer corner of one eye and measure upwards at a slight angle to the middle of the forehead (measurement A).
    2. continue along the front of your horse(measurement B),
    3. Finish the measurement by directing the line slightly downward to the outer corner of the other eye (measurement C). This way, you will measure the widest part of your horse's forehead.

Add these 3 measurements (A+B+C) to obtain the size of your horse's forehead.

IMPORTANT: Do not measure directly from one eye to the other, as this will likely result in an inaccurate measurement.

    equivizor mask measurements

    Mask size Forehead size
    XS - Shetland 7.5–8.7 inches
    S - Pony 8.7–11.4 inches
    M - Cob 11.5–13.5 inches
    L - Full 13-14 inches
    XL - XFull 15-17 inches

    Size guide - Rambo mask

    Take these 3 steps:

    Size A B C
XS (large Shetland) 60 cm 84 cm 20 cm
    S (pony) 70 cm 96 cm 9.5 inches
    M (cob) 70 cm 96 cm 9.25 inches
    L (full) 75 cm 105 cm 27 cm

If your horse is between sizes, we recommend choosing the smaller size.

    Size guide - Equivet mask

Measure the distance between the center of the horse's two eyes:

Mask size Distance between the eyes
    S - Pony 18 cm
    M - Cob 21 cm
    L - Full 9.5 inches
    XL - XFull 26 cm

    Size guide - eVysor glasses

The eVysor mask is available in one size. It is suitable forcob orfull horses. It can also sometimes fit large ponies (D ponies).
