EquiExpert® Curcumalgues is a natural supplement for older horses or those prone to eye conditions: ocular degeneration in horses, chronic uveitis, cataracts, retinal atrophy, nuclear sclerosis.

Turmeric is used for its anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective effects. Although pure curcumin is poorly absorbed by the horse's body, its therapeutic activity is increased tenfold in the presence of black pepper (piperine) and oils. This increases its bioavailability. In long-term studies, turmeric-based treatment has been shown to significantly reduce the recurrence of eye inflammation.

Spirulina, Fucus, Ascophyllum, and Laminaria provide vitamins, minerals, and trace elements essential for healthy joints.

• Fucus relieves rheumatic pain and arthritis in horses. It is a very complete seaweed containing trace elements such as copper, zinc, selenium, calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, sulfur, silicon, and iron.
• Ascophyllum is rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
• Spirulina contains high-quality plant proteins, numerous vitamins such as vitamin A, vitamin E, B vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6, B7, B8, B9, B12), vitamin D, vitamin K, omega-6 fatty acids, essential fatty acids, antioxidants, and more.
• Lithothamnion is a calcareous algae characterized by its high calcium content, which promotes bone mineralization and is necessary for maintaining healthy bones in your horse.

The Curcumalgues horse treatment in detail

Presentation: granules (cold granulation) in a 5 kg bucket (equivalent to 83 days of treatment).

Directions for horses and ponies: 1 dose (60 g) per day for 3 months.
Can be given continuously throughout the year to your horse, or over several months depending on its needs.

Composition: Fish hydrolysates, micronized barley, spirulina, algae: lithothamnion, ascophyllum, laminaria, fucus, chorella, aromatic plants: turmeric, piperine. Aromatic substance: apple flavoring.

Analytical constituents: Protein 24%, Crude ash 18%, Fat 6%, Moisture 8%, Cellulose 4%, Magnesium 0.5%.

Tested by the LCH (Laboratoire des Courses Hippiques): No doping.

Product palatability:
EquiExpert pre-tests its products on horses and ponies to ensure the best possible palatability. However, it is always possible that a horse may need several days to adapt to the taste and smell of a product. We recommend either gradually incorporating it into the ration or adding powdered sugar, ground cinnamon, or applesauce to the ration.
