New products from equidiva for 2023!

January 12, 2023

Lots of exciting surprises in store for 2023 with the launch of two new eye protections for Shetland ponies, ponies, horses, and draft horses by the end of the year: the modified Premium field mask and a real innovation with new work goggles 100% made in Equidiva!

New work glasses for everyone!

After 18 months of work, 13 prototypes, material testing to find the right UV- and shock-resistant material, and testing with various horse breeds and sizes, we are pleased to present a preview of: EQUIGOOGS ® equidiva !

These genuine glasses can be worn by horses of all sizes, from ponies to heavy horses, with the exception of miniature Shetland ponies and very large horses. In designing this product, for which a patent has been filed, we were assisted by specialists renowned for their expertise: equine veterinarians, of course, but also a specialist in equine behavior and vision, a renowned saddler for the design of a double bridle that is unique on the market, a plastic surgeon...

We were also able to count on the patience and experience of Artémis, an equidiva model, and then called on dozens of horses and ponies of all shapes and sizes (from Shetland ponies to Breton draft horses) for numerous trials each time the shells were modified.

We are now entering the final phase of the project and should be able to offer you the finished product at the start of the new school year.

Our promise? Lightweight, easy-to-attach, comfortable goggles for Shetland ponies, ponies, horses, and heavy horses with sensitive or fragile eyes, so that they can be ridden and worked normally.

A new premium mask with ear covers, 90% UV protection, summer version!

premium-equidiva

While the Premium mask works perfectly well in cold or moderate temperatures, it is often too warm in summer or in very hot weather. With summers getting hotter and hotter, we felt it was essential to improve this aspect, as some of you had requested. In its summer version, it will still provide effective protection against UV rays, insects, wind, dust, hay, rain, etc., thanks to its airy and breathable materials.

Premium mask design - summer version:

  • Two technical materials to ensure maximum comfort and protection for your horse:
    - Cap and ear section: ultra-resistant openwork polyester fabric, drying time 30 min. Fastens with a wide Velcro strip and 1 adjustable strap under the throat.
    - eye section: resistant, micro-perforated coated fabric providing optimal protection from UV rays, insects, wind, dust, hay stalks, etc.
  • a semi-rigid hoop that keeps the fabric away from the horse's eye.

Wash in cold water with a little soap and a brush, or in the washing machine on a cold cycle, short program, low spin, ideally protected in a laundry net.

Tailles prévues : XS (shetland) - S (poney) - M (cob) - L (cheval) - XL (grand cheval)

Just like the Premium Winter Mask, it can be used for outdoor work or flatwork. Given its opacity, we do not recommend using it for jumping; for these disciplines, we recommend Evysor gogglesor the upcoming EQUIGOOGS.

What size should I choose for my Equidiva mask/hat?

All measurements are approximate and are provided for informational purposes only.

Size guide - Premium or Helios mask

Using a tape measure (or a piece of string that you will measure afterwards), measure around your horse's head as shown in the photo:

Mask size Head circumference
XS - Shetland 84 cm
S - Pony 90 cm
M - Cob 94 cm
L - Full 100 cm
XL - XFull 110 cm
If your horse's head measurement falls between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger of the two.

Size guide - Equivizor masks (Lightweight, Arso, Convalescence models)

For these masks, the main measurement is the width of your horse's forehead. To do this, you need to add together three measurements:

  1. Start at the outer corner of one eye and measure upwards at a slight angle to the middle of the forehead (measurement A).
  2. continue along the front of your horse(measurement B),
  3. Finish the measurement by directing the line slightly downward to the outer corner of the other eye (measurement C). This way, you will measure the widest part of your horse's forehead.

Add these 3 measurements (A+B+C) to obtain the size of your horse's forehead.

IMPORTANT: Do not measure directly from one eye to the other, as this will likely result in an inaccurate measurement.

S - Pony 8.7–11.4 inches
